HP printers used for DIY fake money

As the 18-year old shed tears of relief for being spared a jail term for her crime, Hewlett Packard must have secretly been shedding tears of joy.

According to a report in The Straits Times today, the girl, Charlene Lim, had used an HP 3-in-one colour printer do produce $50 counterfeit notes. With those "high-quality" prints, she used them to pay for her taxi fares on TEN (10) separate occassions!

Now this is one case study that HP won't be putting into its marketing brochures or advertisements. But to be sure, this is surely one of the best real-life endorsements for the quality of HP Printers!

The report doesnt give details, but I was just wondering if she also used the same machine to scan the $50 notes before printing them out!
