Do PR execs use IM? Of course they do
Benjamin Koe in his ScoopAsia blog lamented that PRs here don't use IM to stay in touch with him. He said "Then it struck me, if sales people can convince their clients to keep them on their IMs, why don't PR do the same with journalists? Why don't I have any PRs on my IM which is on almost always?"
Dear Benjamin, actually a lot of execs from PR agencies and in-house corp comms folks are on IM, I count about 30-40 on my list, about 10-20 of which are quite active. Which IM are you on? MSN Messenger is the more popular one from my experience, but most PRs use Yahoo and Skype as well.

I am in PR and i have media friends in my IM which is on many many hours a day (and night)!
